4 years ago, Jessica Skilton birthed 'The Gathering Girls' as a space to nurture the female spirit.
".....The Gathering girls was a heart project created for my own daughters and their friends when they were younger. My intention was to create a regular gathering that would help foster their sense of belonging and connection in a creative, fun and uplifting way." from Jess
With her background in art therapy, being a qualified Montessori teacher and already co-creating two thriving homeschool groups this initiative attracted lots of families eager for their daughters to be a part of it.
The day is filled with heart-centred and all-inclusive fun, creative, connection and grounding activities.
The gatherings are now led by Jessica's friends, two passionate local mums Astara & Georgie, both who value earth honouring practices, creation, and mind/body wellness (and who also hold blue cards).
They have lived in a community co-op together, birthed their babies 2 days apart and have led The Gathering Girls for over a year together which adds some extra zest, play and sparkle to their lives.
Imagine a world where each individual young girl's nature, passions and interests were supported and her confidence, awareness and esteem flourished in a wholesome and heart-centred environment.
That's the essence of The Gathering Girls and we welcome you to join us!
WHAT: Interactive, nature-based and creative day workshop. Although this is a 'drop off' event, parents are also welcome to stay close by if they prefer.
WHO: These gatherings are for girls aged between 7 - 12.
WHERE: Ninderry, Sunshine Coast (Specific location provided upon booking). The venue is held surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodland with undercover areas if needed.
DATE: Sundays - Monthly

TIMES: 10am arrival for a 10:30am start. 3pm close.
COST: $50 per child covering two facilitators and materials.
NUMBERS: Gatherings are limited to 20 girls.

Meet Astara
"Hi there! I'm Astara.
I'm passionate about co-creating wholesome heart centred gatherings to deepen our connection with nature, creativity and community, especially for the next generation.
I have 20 years of experience as a facilitator and background in Wholistic Counselling, Event Management and Kinesiology
I am a mumma to my 2 y/o and live at Ninderry, Sunshine Coast. I absolutely love gardening, watercolour painting and shopping at farmers markets.
I look forward to welcoming you to our The Gathering Girls community!"
Meet Georgie
"Hello, Iām Georgie!
A local young mum of two boys. I walk in reverence with the earth each day and love, creation, exploring forests and play.
I aim to create a relatable safe space for the girls through connection, art and nature immersion.
I'm an Artist, trained kids Yoga facilitator, Co-founder of Bush-2-beach Homeschool group and love having this opportunity to support the young female spirit."

My girls have had the incredible experience of being a part of the Gathering girls program from the very beginning. Now that they are older, I can reflect on the absolutely divine gifts that they received from the program.
They were able to express themselves creatively in such a safe space, where their individuality and high sensitivity were seen as gifts instead of challenges.
They loved the art experiences, self expression, movement, yoga and free play that the program offered. I could not ask for more beautiful and authentic teachers for my daughters than Astara and Georgie.
